How to MOVE your gym equipment!

In this blog post, we'll give you some ideas on how to move your gym seamlessly. Each piece of equipment has a special way to be moved, so make sure you have the tools, the muscles and the proper carrier to transport the equipment.

Starting with the minor stuff is the greatest approach to get ready to move your home gym. It's easier to move hand weights, medicine balls, yoga blocks, and other small workout equipment in groups. Because free weights are heavy, separating weight sizes is essential for lifting the boxes. Don't worry, our packing and moving experts are here to assist you. We'll pack similar equipment in robust boxes, label them carefully, and transfer everything to your new gym site so that unpacking is a breeze.

Larger Gym Equipment Should Be Prepared

After you've gotten all of the small stuff out of the way, it's time to get the bigger pieces of gym equipment ready for their journey. Take care. Moving equipment by yourself can be difficult, inconvenient, and sometimes dangerous. Don't even attempt. You can, however, prepare your equipment for transport. For instructions on how to care for any piece of equipment you own, always consult the manufacturer's guide. You can accomplish a number of things, including:

Stationary Bike

Simply use a bungee rope to secure any moving elements on your stationary bicycle to prevent injury and damage. Unplug your electric bike from the wall and coil the cord gently. Use a zip tie to secure the cord and affix it.

This is another pretty simple machine to prepare. Just unplug it from the wall and prepare the cord by coiling it and securing it with a zip tie. Tape the cord to the base of the treadmill so it’s out of the way. Fold the treadmill down if you can and secure it using zip ties and tape. We’ll make sure it gets there safe.

Elliptical Machine

These are some of the most challenging and inconvenient pieces of home gym equipment. In other circumstances, simply dismantling the machine, packing it, and reassembling it at the new gym is the best option. Moving pros that know what they're doing can sometimes relocate the machine intact.

Weight Machines

Weightlifting machines, bars, and weights are difficult to move due to their heft and size. They can only be moved by dismantling them, which requires practise. We'll disassemble everything, save all of the fasteners, screws, and parts, and then pack everything away. Then we'll reassemble everything in your new home gym.

Maintain Your Workouts Effortlessly

Moving is difficult, physically and emotionally draining, and a little frightening. We understand that being surrounded by the things you love and need makes everything seem a little better. This is where we can help. We'll take care of everything so that when you move into your new home and are ready to start a new chapter in your life, your home gym is ready to help you meet your health and fitness goals.

Hopefully some of these tips and how-to's help. We know that moving a gym is one of the most difficult and potentially most physically exhausting job you can undertake. Remember to use the right safety equipment and pace yourself and others while trying to get the job done. This is a marathon, not a sprint.
