Our Ultimate Weekly Checklist for customers PT 2

Updated: Sep 21, 2021

Checklist for One Month Before

Select a moving company and confirm the details.

Choose a moving company and receive formal confirmation of your relocation date, price, and other details. Be sure to ask about insurance, discounts, liability and memberships.

Begin packing your belongings.

Begin by packing the items you use the least, such as the iron and chess set. Make a list of things of exceptional worth that may require additional insurance from your moving company while you're packing. You can go one step further by keeping them all in a certain spot and order before moving, so everyone is aware.

Label your stuff

Label and number each box with the contents and the room it will be delivered to. This will assist you in keeping track of your possessions. Items you'll need straight away should be packed and labelled in "essentials" boxes.

Keep your valuables separate.

Put valuables like jewellery and essential documents in a secure box that you'll bring with you to your new house. Keep information from lawyers, movers, tech companies etc. in here for your move day.

Checklist for Two Weeks Before

Make plans to be off work on moving day.

Notify your boss that you will be supervising the relocation and will require the day off. You'll need as much time as possible for the day, it can be exhausting!

Prepare your vehicle

If you're relocating to a new climate, take your automobile to a garage and ask the technician what services could be required. There's a chance your vehicle may not be prepared for the weather change.

De-clutter your safe-deposit box.

Remove the contents of your safe-deposit box and place them in the secure box you'll take with you on moving day if you're changing banks.

Get in touch with a moving company.

Confirm the configurations once again. It never hurts to make sure that your original plan is in motion. Sometimes businesses can forget crucial details or have a mishap in scheduling, don't let it ruin your big day.
